What are Good and Bad Omens and Signs?
Omens are the signs or warnings that are given by the Universe trying to announce or portend something Good or Bad that’s about to happen. They are often categorized as the Good and Bad omens, common superstitions. They are to be witnessed by the persons who are supposed to be warned by the universe.
The activities and behavior of the environment around us including the living beings & sudden unusual response by our body or even a small unusual event out of the blue is an omen. Even the small minute details change as for the events that are about to happen. If one knows how to read these behavioral changes in our environment surrounding us or in our own body reaction; then the person is able to predict the future.
It sometimes could be bizarre; as if it’s warning about a catastrophic calamity about to happen like a Genocide. The bigger & bizarre the event is about to happen; the bigger & bizarre the sign or warning of it will appear to warn people. There are similar omens portending the Good about to happen in a person’s life.
Omens and signs are always around us. The bird signs and omens, Omens associated with the animals especially dogs are mostly considered by all the people with their common Superstitions and their meanings has been known to them for decades.
In order to realize the omens, one should know about how the omens look or seem to appear. so, when one appears in front of them, they realize that it’s an omen and be prepared for the event.

1. Reaction within or by the human body such as to vellicate, sneeze, blinking unusually or even to feel the burst of heart beats in certain parts out of sudden.
2. Reaction or the behavioral changes in the animals around us. Especially in dogs, cats & certain birds.
3. Reaction or the behavioral changes in the insects, reptiles & ants around us.
4. Breaking of mirrors & falling of milk are also considered as a superstition to be an omen.
List of bad luck superstitions & list of good omens along with the origins of popular superstitions:
1. Sneezing: If a person sneezes just when you are about to leave the house; It’s considered as bad luck and is advised not to leave the house and wait for some time. But if that person sneezes more than one time then it’s considered as a positive sign that all the work that you are about to do on leaving the house will be successfully done.
If a person sneezes while purchasing something then it’s considered the good luck & the item that the person was about to purchase is considered to bring good luck.

2. Vacillation in the human body: If you are feeling a pulse like about to burst on your forehead and in your temple, it’s considered a sign of fortune.
To feel the burst on both your cheeks or around your jaw is a sign of fortune as well.
If you feel the burst on your lips then it’s a sign that you are about to meet a flame or a close friend.
If you feel the burst or vacillation in the palms of your hands then it’s considered a very bad sign.
To feel the pulse or burst on your left eye then it’s considered a bad sign & If it’s happening on the right eye then it’s considered good.
If a person feels a burst on his right thigh then it’s considered a bad sign & if it’s the left thigh it’s considered good.

3. Behavioral changes in the dogs: If a dog suddenly out of the blue started rubbing his forehead into the ground then it means that there is a hidden or buried treasure below that point.
If a dog tries to lick his own chest specially in front of a sick person continuously and repeatedly then it’s a sign that the sick person’s about to die.
4. Sighting of the Lizards at unexpected situations: While entering a new house, If the house owner found a dead lizard on the ground. Then it means it’s a bad sign and one has to cleanse the house with prayers before moving in.
If a lizard falls on your forehead it means that you are about to get a fortune. If it falls on the left side of you directly on the floor, then it means that you are about to have some complications in your life.

Answer 1: It’s considered as a bad sign. Dropping any form of milk is considered as a bad sign and it’s been said to avoid life changing decisions on the day that happened with you.

Answer 5: I am not certain by what you mean by this question but if I go word by word on this one then what I understand is that; while you were following a washerwoman, she comes to you in the opposite direction. If this is what you mean than my friend, if she walks backwards then it’s not good or it could be just a coincidence that she might have taken a few steps back to either see something or check on something. Or if you mean it in an upper caste lower cast kind of way then you have to get your head checked.

If you are comparing the sighting of a scorpion to an Omen; then you have to define the number of times you have seen it, the number of scorpions, color & size of the scorpion as well as the activity it was doing if it appeared more than once.
The widely known superstition with that is; the scorpion is a bringer of bad luck as it’s associated with the demons & djinns.

For the Egyptians, Hededet was a goddess represented with a scorpion head and a woman’s body nourishing a newborn. Serket, another prominent Egyptian deity, was the goddess of fertility, medicine, and animals, as well as the healer of venomous stings of scorpions and bites of snakes.
Finally, we have Chelamma, a scorpion goddess venerated in regions of India that protected people from deadly stings.

Question 7: Spotting vagina in the dream is a good omen or bad?
Answer 7: Well it depends on your sex (male/female/transgender). The first common superstition is that it represents a female deity or goddess of any Paganistic religion. Every religion that involves worshiping idols have the same depiction of female entity as the mother of all the life. So, it could be a good sign.

Answer 10: No, there’s none to my knowledge. It’s neither a Good or Bad omen. It’s just a sign that the child born will inherit the majority of the traits of the person having the same date of birth.

Answer 11: Breaking of any sharp objects is always considered as a Bad Omen. It’s suggested not to do any kind of important decision making or deals on the same day as it happened. Also, this Omen means that your enemies are gaining strength over you.

Answer 12: I am not quite sure what you are asking, but if you mean that astrologically Sirius is the star in your birth House; then yes, it’s a good omen. Usually people having this star in their Birth house according to Astrology, are born to become Famous.

Answer 13: No, I don’t think so. As the novel itself is about Crowley talking to demons has nothing to do with the Biblical stories. You need to know the basics: what are demons & who is Crowley that’s it.

Question 14: There is in the Old Testament you will not obey omen good or bad?
Answer 14: In the Bible it’s mentioned to not let your children through fire, practice sorcery or divinity & not to follow omens. Yes, there are certain verses that actually rejected the list of common superstitions considered as Omens whereas there are certain Omens associated with the Lord in the Bible. So according to this old testament in the bible, If the Omen is associated with the Lord then it’s good otherwise it will be seen as the sign of a sorcery or Evil.
