WHO/WHAT IS MAMMON? (Mythological Misconceptions)
The word ‘Mammon’ in early Hebrew, Greek, Latin & all-around Europe means Money, Obsession, Gluttony & Greed for the materialistic. Some earlier scholars have presented Mammon as not an entity but a concept that, “the Money is Evil”. "Mamona" (sometimes "Mamuna") is a synonym for mammon among Slavs. Currently, the word "mamona" is used figuratively and derogatorily in Polish as a synonym of money. In Slovak the word mamonár is sometimes used to refer to a greedy person. On the other hand, in Russian the word "мамон" is used as a slang word to describe one's obese belly. The word "mammona" is quite often used in the Finnish and Estonian languages as a synonym of material wealth. In German, the word "Mammon" is a colloquial and contemptuous term for "money".
Mammon is however an older Ancient Sumerian Deity. Mammon is often associated with the Olympian God Plutus (The Wolf). It’s also been said that Mammon is being carried out of hell by the wolf (Plutus) as if it’s his ride.

However, Plutus was known to be the God that bear gifts to all and thus being blinded by the Zeus so that He won’t see or judge the person to whom He gave gifts. Gifts would be same for everyone. Later on, Plutus regained his vision and then started to judge a person before giving gifts.
Some scholars also believed that as if Mammon is just another name for ‘Beelzebub’. Where in popular cultures and what I believe is truth about Mammon is that, Mammon is the son of Lucifer. Mammon is also one of the 7 Prince of Hell.

Mammon is known as one of the most cunning and dangerous demon of all. His cleverness even outruns that of the ‘Lucifuge Rofocale’ (Governor of Hell appointed by the Lucifer). Mammon is known to not have actually appeared even once In front of anyone as It is always hidden in the shadows. Not even other demons claim to have seen him but have felt his presence.

Even when you summon Mammon, He won’t appear physically or manifest himself. All you would see is a shadow or figure too damn fast to get a glimpse. You will only notice something passed by you and kept hiding from you but won’t be able to pin it to one place. Mammon’s physical appearance is so hideous as no one could bear a glimpse of it.
You might have heard about the “Curse of the Gold”. That curse is Mammon.
Mammon is depicted as the demon who binds the people to the wealth & greed and seduce them to do evil things in the desire of money and will surely deliver money onto them but in process corrupts their body, mind & soul. Mammon often travels with the Gold.
Some scholars have depicted Mammon as the Fallen Angel. Mammon was an angel that took much more pleasure and interest in the materialistic riches, golds & gems rather than that of the Heaven. Only way to protect yourself from the corruption by Mammon is by sharing and helping people who doesn’t have much. That way you are trying to balance your greed and thus Mammon cannot take full possession of your emotions.

In old catholic beliefs, Mammon was the gate keeper or the treasure of the Heaven after the fall he became the same for the Hell. The real fact is somehow different than that. Mammon was an ancient Assyrian deity of wealth.

You don’t need to make a deal with the Mammon to use his powers and his favors to get Rich.
That is the biggest misconception among the people. They think that they have to actually make a deal with the Mammon and sell their soul. Well you don’t have to sell him anything, all you need to do is to accept his powers by very simple and white rituals. No blood sacrifices or horrific rituals are needed. Mammon is a positive entity and will provide only positivity. There are certain rules and rituals to summon him and let him shower all his blessings in your daily life.
